In typical Nintendo Direct fashion, Nintendo is ready with a shadow drop after the presentation. Fire Emblem Engage‘s second DLC pack will be ready for download in just a few minutes. As with the last pack, it contains a few new characters that players will be able to take into battle.
A brief trailer revealed that Hector – Emblem of Strength, Soren – Emblem of Acumen, and Camilla – Emblem of Revelation will be available in Wave Two. Wave Three will add Chrom and Robin – Emblem of Bonds, and Veronica – Emblem of Heroes. Veronica will have the ability to summon additional allies to help in battle, which could expand the roster even further.
Further down the line in Wave Four, Engage will be receiving a brand new campaign. Called “Fell Xenologue,” details were kept to a minimum, but eagle-eyed fans will be able to spot returning characters. We’ll leave the sleuthing to the superfans.
All four waves of DLC can be purchased together in Fire Emblem Engage’s Expansion Pass, which retails for $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop. While the first three waves don’t seem all that substantial with regard to content, the pass may be worth it for superfans when Wave Four comes around. Having an extra campaign to playthrough, especially with a bunch of new characters, will greatly expand the number of hours one can put into this title.
