Norwegian game developer Funcom who has brought us mostly MMO titles such as Age of Conan, is now developing an experimental horror game that is set to be released this October.

The Park is a short horror game set in what appears to be either a haunted or abandoned amusement park. You take on the role of a mother who seems to have lost her son, Callum, and are tasked with finding him which will inevitably uncover the secrets of this park.

“When night falls and the lights go out, what follows is a short, but intense horror story set against the backdrop of an amusement park where a dark and sinister secret is just waiting to be uncovered.”

Exclusively being released for PC in October, the trailer depicts the mother singing the popular children’s song “Five Little Ducks Went Out one Day” in what can only be described as a desperately scared voice as she starts going up a roller coaster. The moment she hits the drop the trailer gets real intense. If the game is anything remotely close to this video, then horror fans should definitely be in for a treat.

Not much else is known about The Park or even an official release date, but stay tuned to GameSkinny for more information.
