Although it will be a few more months before Naughty Dog releases the next installment of its critically-acclaimed Uncharted series, the new Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection story trailer offers fans of the series their first taste of Drake on the PlayStation 4.

For returning fans, the trailer promises to bring together the story you know and love, combining scenes from all three games as you watch Nathan first meet Sully and follow him on his adventures. For newcomers to the series, the trailer will make you glad (or wish) you bought a PS4. By bringing all three games together at once, you can experience the story more fluidly, without the years between that cause memories of the last game to fade.

The game’s graphics will reflect the PS4’s improvements over the PS3, but the game isn’t just about looks. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake collection appeals to a variety of players by adding new modes. Newcomers to the series who want to get acquainted with the game can start with Explorer Mode, which reduces the amount of combat you’ll see and allows you to explore with greater freedom.

After all, part of being the greatest explorer is being the first one to get there.

On the opposite end of that spectrum is Brutal Difficulty Mode, which is for players not satisfied with beating the game on Crushing Difficulty (the prerequisite for unlocking Brutal mode). There’s also a speed run mode, which times how quickly you get through the game. After all, part of being the greatest explorer is being the first one to get there. You’ll also be able to go through the game with whichever Drake you see fit, including the very unfit Doughnut Drake.

With the newest collection, you’ll also get access to Uncharted 4‘s multiplayer beta, if you really just can’t wait until March. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is scheduled to come out on October 9th.
