The Last of Us 2 was supposed to release in just a few weeks. Unfortunately, it was delayed until May 29. So it goes, they say. However, that doesn’t mean Naughty Dog doesn’t have a few treats up its sleeve for patient fans.
One of those is a brand-new dynamic theme for The Last of Us 2 on the PlayStation 4. Those interested in picking it up can, of course, get it through the PlayStation Store.
For PSN users in the Americas, use code 4FMP-BBNM-J5L3 to get it. For those in Europe, use code 9DEK-PKNG-N445.
In a neat twist not often found in PS4 dynamic themes, this one changes when the sun sets in a users’ respective timezone. While it isn’t a complete shift, it’s pretty significant. The two versions seem to perfectly represent the juxtaposing tones of The Last of Us 2 — at least what we’ve seen of it so far.
In other news for The Last of Us 2, Sony and Naughty Dog just announced that the Ellie Edition of the game will again be available for pre-order. The popular edition, which initially sold out within hours of pre-orders first going live, will on sale starting February 13 at 9 a.m. EST on Amazon.
Recently, YouTuber Bearly Regal released footage of a PS1-demake of The Last of Us 2 using Sony and Media Molecule’s upcoming Dreams. It’s an awesome look at what the Naughty Dog series would have looked like if it had been released alongside games such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill.
So popular has The Last of Us become, animation group Oddfellows recently revealed that Sony had planned to release a Last of Us animated movie before (unfortunately) scrapping the project.
Stay tuned for more news and information The Last of Us 2 as we approach the game’s May 29 release date on the PlayStation 4.
