I pondered on why we weren’t seeing a Western release of Ghosts n’ Goblins Online earlier this year after the game was announced for a Chinese release. After seven months of keeping my ear to the ground, there is finally a glimpse of hope.
Korean developer Seed9 has put Ghosts n’ Goblins Online up on Steam Greenlight to push potential publishing on the English market. This is the very first sign of any kind this game will be localized, and I heartily encourage you to hop on Steam and put in your vote for approval.
Ghosts ‘n Goblins Online is like the original game series in that it is sidescrolling, but its action combat and loot mechanics bring something new to the old formula. Those looking for the classic bone-crunchingly difficult gameplay the series is best known for can turn to the Demonic Dimension in GnGO for a more ‘authentic’ experience.
It’s amazing that after such a long beta time in South Korea (and a release earlier this year) with no news of a Western release, this Ghosts n’ Goblins Online could finally have a chance to make it over with the help of Steam Greenlight. Head over to the Greenlight page and show your approval. You know you want to.
