Enjoy the PayDay series? Well get ready and mark your calendars. Overkill Software is giving away free copies of PayDay: The Heist on one day and one day only. This free download will be available in a 24-hour window on October 18th. This is all a part of their Crimefest promotion for their Steam community group to celebrate the three year anniversary of the game’s release.
Crimefest has one goal to meet. They want to garner 1,500,000 members on Steam. For each milestone they reach, community members receive free gear (and who can argue free gear on top of a free game, that’s a total win-win situation). Some of the free stuff they are giving away is:
- Brass knuckles
- Golden AK
- Mask from Bain
The free game was unlocked when they reached 1,050,000 members. What they release when they hit their goal is listed as “Secret Stuff”. Want to know what the secret is? Well you will have to join their Steam community and help out with the Crimefest to find out!
