Ever since Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, fans of the series have seen clues of the mysterious creature here and there. So much so that there’s a hint of him in Rockstars’ later title, Red Dead Redemption. Well, the veil has been lifted with a recent GTA V patch and now Bigfoot makes an appearance and is somewhat playable.

This new update brought the video editor, first available on the PC, to the Xbox One and PS4 versions of GTA V. It added an achievement called “Cryptozoologist.” To earn that the players have to collect all animals for use in Director Mode, which is done by finding peyote plants scattered throughout the game. Apparently, an eagle-eyed player discovered a way to unlock Bigfoot through this.

Finding this extremely rare peyote takes a lot of skill and good timing. In order to find it, the main GTA V story needs to be completed. Head to the precise location and the weather needs to be foggy, with the time at roughly between 5:30am and 8:30am on a Tuesday.

Not an easy task to do, but it is doable and shows how Rockstar plays into the fans speculations and provides accordingly. GTA V is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC along with this Director Mode that allows you to unlock, and play as Bigfoot.
