GTA: San Andreas HD Remaster Hits Xbox 360 With a Surprisingly Low Price

GTA San Andreas HD remaster is now available on the Xbox 360 for under $4. It's quite a bargain if you ask me.

Just a few days after the leaked achievments and initial rumors of a San Andreas HD remaster on the Xbox 360, the HD version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is now available for under 4$. The 720p upgrade, with view distance improvements and achievment support, is dropping to mark the 10th year anniversary of the last title in the old GTA era.

Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto games entered a new ‘universe’ starting with GTA IV, and the current versions have no connections to the old ‘universe’. If we don’t count the easter eggs of course.

The most suprising thing about the remaster is the extremely low price tag. Everyone was expecting the price to be around $10-$15. The $3.74 dollar tag is a really nice move from Rockstar. Needless to say, it is still just an HD remaster, and if you have the original version on PC (or any other platform) there’s not any extra content you can get from this version.

It’s yet to be clarified whether this is a sale, or if the price is permanent. But if you’re thinking of grabbing the new version, now might be the time. There are rumors going around the Internet that this is indeed a sale, and it will only last until October 27th.

It’s a little bit disappointing that the HD remaster is not available on the latest generation of consoles, but it might just be the perfect nostalgic time-killer until the updated version of GTA V hits the Playstation 4, Xbox One and finally the PC.
