Harebrained Schemes, lead by Jordan Weisman, creator of Shadowrun and Mechwarrior, revealed the new third-person dungeon crawler Necropolis set to release in 2016. The environment is a living labyrinth and the player must find out how to escape Abraxis’ domain, controlled by the mysterious magical A.I. Brazen Head.
As you traverse the ever-changing dungeon, you’ll encounter beasts, items to craft into potions, and spellbooks that allow you to upgrade your abilities.
The battle system is based on precision. Using a combination of heavy and light attacks will yield the best results. But, what if you don’t want to fight the monster? Figure out what its favorite food or predator is and use that to your advantage.
Necropolis is set to release on Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux in 2016. Whether or not this title will hit consoles is unknown at the moment. To keep updated on news about the game, check out their developer blog.
