Penny Black Studios announced today that their first game, How We Soar, will be released later this year. How We Soar is a flight simulation game for the PlayStation VR where the player rides a phoenix and explores the world. Using the DualShock 4 Controller as your reins, you are in full control of this majestic bird and can perform swoops, glides, and dives. You also have control of how fast the bird moves so you can explore the environment at your own pace.

The entire game has a unique papercraft art style and even affects level design. When entering a level, it will appear torn and unfolded. Exploring the world will cause the environment reform into a more recognizable area. This will also allow the player to uncover secrets and restore color to the world. The story of the game focuses on moving between reality and fantasy, uncovering memories to piece together the tale of The Author’s life.
