Dreadbit’s Steampunk mech combat game will be releasing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 1st and 4th of March, respectively.
The console release trailer isn’t available yet, so for now we’ll have to make do with the PC one.
The game is described as Puzzlequest meets FTL: Faster Than Light on its Steam page, and it’s pretty easy to see why. Your Ironcast mech’s weapons and systems are driven by generating resource nodes which can be used offensively or defensively.
The combat is turn-based and the game has a Roguelite campaign mode with permanent death — although the rewards are persistent from one game session to the next so it won’t be a total loss. Features also include customizing your Ironcast, looting new technology and upgrades and so on. A full list of Ironcast‘s features can be found on the Steam page as well.
The game is set in an alternate timeline inspired by Victorian Science Fiction and Steampunk; so if you’ve ever fantasized about giant mech battles and top hats (or bonnets), well — this should be right up your alley!
