King’s Bounty 2 Unite Them or Fall Trailer Unleashes a Plague of Conspiracy

The latest King's Bounty 2 story trailer sets the stage for a medieval drama full of "conspiracy, subterfuge, and necromancy."

The world of King’s Bounty 2 is full of scheming, skullduggery, and subterfuge. A conspiracy is afoot, and it’s shrouded in the cloak of dark magic. That’s the setup in the game’s latest cinematic story trailer, Unite Them or Fall.

It’s a conceit that would be well at home in the Game of Thrones universe; Nostria is a land that’s just lost its king — to poisoning, no less — and various factions rise to vie for the throne. On the fringes of the fray, nefarious forces put their plans in motion, some even resorting to necromancy.

The full story trailer for one of our most-anticipated RPGs of 2021 can be seen below:

It’s taken more than 30 years for a developer to take up the King’s Bounty sword; the original released in 1990 for MS-DOS. Though there have been several other King’s Bounty games over the years, King’s Bounty 2 is, as its name might suggest, the first mainline game in that time.

Developer 1C Entertainment originally hoped to release King’s Bounty 2 early this year, but the turn-based tactical RPG was delayed in February. It will now release on August 24, 2021, for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

1C has provided a slew of developer updates since the game was first announced, and though we’ve only covered the first of those dev diaries (which you can see here if you’re so inclined), the King’s Bounty 2 Steam page has a full repository of updates
