There’s always something new and exciting happening on the Fields of Justice.
The Good
We finally have direct Riot confirmation that two champions in the League of Legends are definitely getting visual updates in the coming season. Grumpy Monkey has confirmed that both Karma and Trundle are due for graphical updates at some point in the forseeable future. Both champions have a lot of people with mixed feelings about them. Riot has said before that Karma needs a rework. Her kit is weak right now, and unfocused for a specific role, specifically because if it were stronger it would be abusable and overpowered by coordinated teams while still being lackluster in solo-queue.
Trundle, I suspect, people just find boring.
The Bad
Morello has, unfortunately, announced on his twitter that there will be no Christmas maps this year. A side effect of the updates to the graphics on both Summoner’s Rift and Twisted Treeline is that all their older graphical assets would similarly need to be completely redone. According to Morello, that’s simply too much to redo in time for the holidays this year.
