With still a couple of days to go on their Kickstarter campaign, Lantern Studio and their beautiful game, LUNA – The Shadow Dust, has already reached its crowdfunding target. The game is a point-and-click puzzle adventure about a boy who finds himself going on a long journey of self-discovery and to put balance back into the World.
The game has been made using traditional frame-by-frame animation techniques and has no dialogue in it. Instead, the story is told through playing the game itself, working through all the puzzles it puts forward, and the cinematic animations. It was important to the developers that anyone could play and understand the game without having to rely on language and translations.
As the boy and his companion, a small cat-like creature with quills, travel through the ancient tower that stands at the edge of world, players are faced with puzzles that will not only test their problem-solving skills but will also challenge their reaction speed, musical ability and their imagination.
LUNA: The Shadow Dust has been given the Greenlight from Steam and due to be released sometime during Summer 2017. There is a downloadable demo available if you wish to get a better look at the game and will be available on PC, iOS and Android.
