Majora’s Mask 3D will differ on New 3DS

The Legend of Zelda: Majora'a Mask will play differently on the new 3DS. The question is how differently?

Fans of the Legend of Zelda have been asking for a Majora’s Mask remake since Ocarina of Time came out for the 3DS. Well, the fans and internet campaigns have gotten their wish granted and the moon will fall on Termina in just 3 days if Link doesn’t save the day. However, like in the Ocarina of Time 3D remake, there will be some changes to the gameplay mechanics such as gyro controls.

Series Producer Eiji Aonuma recently stated that Majora’s Mask 3D will play differently on the new version of the 3DS compared to the “original” version.( I guess that’s a good way to differentiate between the two 3DS’s) This could be a major way Nintendo gets people to buy the “new” 3DS, by bringing out games people want and then having those games play differently.

A good example of Nintendo doing this in the past is the Super Game Boy, playing games differently on your tv compared to your Game Boy. It will be interesting to see how Nintendo incorporates the new features of the new 3DS, like a new control stick and shoulder buttons, into 3D gaming and Majora’s Mask!
