Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes to Release Spring 2014

Ground Zeroes to release Spring 2014?
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

I’d like to begin by saying I called it – Konami has confirmed a release window for the next Metal Gear. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is expected to release during the Spring of 2014.

Ground Zeroes has been described as somewhat of a prequel/tutorial to the full release of The Phantom Pain. Ground Zeroes will consist of a story mission that takes place after the events of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and leads directly into the main story for MGSV. Think of it as the Tanker Mission in Metal Gear Solid 2.

The title will be releasing as a downloadable title for $29.99 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but only $19.99 on the current-gen systems. It will also be available at retail for current-gen at $29.99.

If I were a betting man, I’d say one may be able to get the prequel for free by pre-ordering a certain edition of the full release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but this will remain to be seen until more official news seeps out.

What do you think of the bizarre release style of The Phantom Pain? Sound off in the comments down below and maybe I’ll hire a different actor to do your voice randomly – even though everyone loves you and wants you to stay!
