Mojang released a new update to the console-based versions of Minecraft on July 1st, 2015, giving Minecraft players on the PlayStation and Xbox access to some of the most long-awaited features of the base PC game. Additions to the game include:
-
Make your Superflat worlds even flatter! Customize your Superflat worlds, because you can always make flatter hills.
-
Spruce up your game with new blocks! It’s a jungle out there, so grab your axe and storm the birch to get your hands on several new woods. Once you’ve filled the woodshed, protect your new investment with fences, gates, and doors!
-
Wood isn’t the only thing Minecraft Consoles have now got; stained glass will add a little color to your world, iron trapdoors will keep your basements safer, inverted daylight sensors will give you more power over the world even at night, and the book and quill will allow you to keep a record of all of these changes!
-
Craft your way! While standard console crafting remains in the game, console players now have the option of using the PC version of crafting too.
-
Change game options from the comfort of your biome. No need to leave the game; you can adjust various options such as player spawn, game mode, ambient sounds, and more from inside the game.
Like all updates for Minecraft, this one comes free of charge and is available on all consoles. Download today and craft away!
Minecraft is available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Playstation 4, and Playstation Vita for a retail price of $20 USD.
