You can do almost anything in this sandbox game. You can build houses, castles, Pokemon stadiums, scenes from other video games, a sky palace. It’s practically endless. You can also try your hand at surviving the night against creepers, but good luck.

They have stated that the PC/Mac version has sold 11,014,760 copies. The game has been out since May 7th, 2009. That’s 2,753,690 copies per year. That’s a lot of copies. The game has gone through numerous upgrades, always coming to the PC/Mac versions before anything else.

Some people make worlds just to cooperatively construct a world of their own that is completely unique and personal between the group. Many hours have been spent playing, I’m sure. I have no doubt that the number will continue to grow. Minecraft is great for people who want to try their hand at building things or even adventuring  with your pals. The 8-bit graphics add a unique feel to the genre of sandbox building, which it practically started. Eleven-million copies is a lot of digital real estate, maybe you’re one of the people who has contributed and if not, maybe you will be.
