Since the announcement of its release in May 2015, the game has since been released in Japan to a receptive audience. So far, with the demo available to play in the U.S. and Europe, the reviews have been mixed.

Some reviewers fear that attention for this monster-hunting game might have shifted because of another monster capturing game that has been seemingly taking over the minds of almost everyone with marketable nostalgia. (But we’re not naming any names…)

Fans of Monster Hunter Generations should still be excited about the game’s release. With all the free DLC, the game is poised to be an epic crossover event. Free DLC includes characters from The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, Fire Emblem, Okami, Strider and Mega Man.

Players can also still purchase the limited edition 3DS XL with Monster Hunters Generation insignia on it in red or blue before the launch.

The game will retail for $39.99 and will be be available for purchase after its launch.
