God of War fans will need to wait if they want to watch more footage from their favorite franchise. In a Tweet on his account, Cory Barlog, the director of the upcoming entry of the series, claimed that the game will not make an appearance at PlayStation Experience 2016. He said:
“Sadly, I won’t be showing anything of the game at psx, just heading there to hang out with playstation fans and play games.”
Another Tweet followed shortly after, as he urged fans to be patient, because the wait will be worth it, as he claims:
“I promise we will be showing something really awesome when it is ready.”
Announced at E3 2016 back in June, the next installment in the God of War series will take place after the ending of the third. Developers claim that more emphasis will be placed on the emotional aspect of the experience.
A release date is yet to be announced, and Sony hasn’t revealed the full list of games that will be displayed at PlayStation Experience 2016 — which will take place on December 3rd and 4th in Anaheim, California.
