Yesterday marked Kingdom Hearts’ 14th anniversary! As a treat to fans, Kingdom Hearts’ creator, Tetsuya Nomura, tweeted out a phenomenal image of the world “Daybreak Town” from Kingdom Hearts 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue.
It is a definite upgrade from the Daybreak Town players are used to in the online game Kingdom Hearts χ [chi]
It seems like the developer’s switch to Unreal Engine 4 has definitely been for the better.
The message under the image from Tetsuya Nomura reads:
It’s been 14 years since the birth of KH. It’s now the same age Sora was when he first departed on his adventure. It’s all thanks to all of you who’ve been supporting us for so long. Thank you so much. I leave you with Daybreak Town, which is under development for 2.8. Please, continue supporting us. – Nomura
The image sent fans into a frenzy as it’s the first piece of news on the latest Kingdom Hearts Project since the last trailer was released in December. If the picture is any indication of what’s to come, then gamers everywhere will definitely want to check it out!
Kingdom Hearts 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue will be the last installment in the Kingdom Hearts series before Kingdom Hearts III, and it’s set to be released sometime this year!
What do you think of the image? Does it make you excited for more Kingdom Hearts news? Let me know in the comments!
