The new game based off of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous creation, titled Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments carries with it some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that it’s not a crossover with Raskolnikov from Dostoevsky’s famous novel from which the subtitle derives. The good news is that it’s going to look pretty dang shiny because its developer, Frogwares Studio, has decided to make the game using the Unreal Engine 3.
This game is a sequel to Frogwares and Focus Home Interactive’s the Testament of Sherlock Holmes, which enjoyed moderate to good reviews. The developers have plans to make its new creation even better by improving the graphics and the gameplay.
There has been no release date yet. It was announced, however, that it will be on the PS3, XBOX 360, and PC. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments might not be a Smash Bros.-esque fighting game starring famous literary characters, but it sounds like it will be an interesting game.
