Naughty Dog revealed at Spike TV’s PlayStation 4 launch event last night that a new game is in development in the Uncharted franchise for PS4.
Naughty Dog also dropped the news on the PlayStation blog:
“”We have great news for all our Uncharted fans…The team [is] hard at work on an amazing new installment of the Uncharted series to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 system. Our goal is to continue what we’ve done in previous console generations and once again deliver the best in storytelling, performance capture, technical innovation and graphics on the PS4.”
The teaser trailer did feature a voice that was not Nathan Drake’s–is that a sign of a new main character for the franchise? Developers from the game also said that if you listen really carefully to the dialogue, you’ll find some hints to the game’s plot. So listen closely folks!
The developers also described the game as a “big jump ahead,” and that this will be the game to really redefine the limits of storytelling. No doubts here, these are the guys behind The Last of Us after all.
Speaking of, Naughty Dog also revealed new DLC content for The Last of Us, titled “Left Behind.” Peep the trailer below.
Arne Myer from PlayStation wrote of the DLC:
“Joining Ellie on this new adventure is Riley, her best friend and also a mentor of sorts at the military boarding school. Just as The Last of Us focused on the bond between Ellie and Joel, Left Behind explores the bond between Ellie and Riley through a series of events that will forever change both of their lives.”
Naughty Dog’s been busy! Who else is pumped?
