From Bandai Namco’s booth at E3 2017, the general director of Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, Akihiro Hino, shared more information about the upcoming JRPG sequel.
When asked about multiplayer, Hino confirmed the game will have a multiplayer feature, saying:
“You will be able to play online with your friends in various capacities.”
Currently, there are no other details about the game’s multiplayer features.
Hino also talked about the significance of playing the first game prior to playing Ni No Kuni II — saying that there will be returning characters and references from the first game, which are being kept secret for now. But players do not need to play the first game to enjoy the sequel, as their stories are completely separate.
In addition to this, Hino discussed the new battle mechanics and the importance of the game’s new kingdom building feature as well.
Ni No Kuni II will release worldwide on November 10 for PlayStation 4.
