One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 Promises Exclusive Co-Op Content

Pirate Warriors 4 offers even more incentive to sail the seas with friends and/or completely random strangers.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will have online co-op, which in itself, isn’t all that surprising. However, Bandai Namco announced something that is brand-new for One Piece co-op play: unique missions.

Pirate Warriors 4 lets you jump into battle with up to three other players at any time and experience the musou mayhem characterizing most Warriors titles. And this time around, there will be several missions exclusive to game’s online co-op mode.

While the above trailer doesn’t show too much from these missions, it looks like they’ll span a variety of locations and, in usual Warriors fashion, probably require players to balance objectives and defend specific points in order to win.

Though that structure is standard fare, it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out in co-op and how these missions get integrated into the game’s re-telling of the One Piece story.

Unfortunately, we still have to wait until March 27 when One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 launches on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One to see what these missions will be like. Fortunately, we know of some other Warriors-style games to keep us busy until then.
