PC gaming had a slump toward the end of the PS2 and Original Xbox era of consoles, and it stayed around the same until a few years ago. Now PC gaming has gone to new heights, buying a system that is capable of gaming is now more affordable than ever.
PC gaming is now getting its very own E3 conference called the PC Gaming Show, it will feature game reveals, updates to already loved games, and “key PC developers” will share their perspectives.
PC Gaming Show is brought to us by the sponsors:
- AMD
- PC Gamer
- Bohemia Interactive
- Twitch
- Tripwire Interactive
- Digital Storm
Who, What, Where, When?
Hosting the event will be Sean ‘Day[9]’ Plott of StarCraft fame, and will take place at the Belasco Theater, in Los Angeles, on Tuesday June 16th, 2015.
So who is going to be speaking? Because PC isn’t a brand and doesn’t have any corporation to tie its name too, it must be harder to find people to speak at an event like this, right? Well, not really, the already confirmed presenters are:
- AMD – of hardware fame.
- Blizzard Entertainment – of StarCraft and WoW fame.
- Bohemia Interactive – of Arma fame
- Cliff Bleszinski – of Boss Key Productions fame.
- Cloud Imperium Games – of Star Citizen fame.
- Dean ‘Rocket’ Hall – of DayZ fame.
- Devolver Digital – of Hotline Miami fame.
- Humble Bundle – of amazing indie game deals fame.
- Heart Machine – of Hyper Light Drifter fame.
- Paradox Interactive – of Europa Universalis and Magicka fame.
- Square Enix – of Final Fantasy fame.
- Tripwire Interactive – of Killing Floor and Red Orchestra fame.
- And more to be announced.
Twitch is going to handle the live streaming of the event.
In the meantime, I’m wondering why Valve isn’t already confirmed to be at the show, this is the best time to announce Half-Life 3.
