Butcher is a 2D Shooter/Action platformer created with the sole purpose of making a fun game about crazy over the top, bloody violence, and describes itself on its Steam page as “a blood-soaked love letter to the early 90s.”

The plot is simple and is a suitable setup for the kind of mindless violence that Butcher seems to be going for. You are a cyborg tasked with eradicating the last remains of humanity; And have no mercy for their pain. In short: Go nuts.

The game will feature a wide variety of weapons from chainsaws to grenade launchers, as well as an assortment of environments ranging from jungles to post-apocalyptic cities, all wrapped up in a gory visual style inspired by the likes of Doom and Quake

Butcher currently has a planned ballpark release date of Fall 2016, and will be available for download on Steam.

I'm just your average basement-dwelling eclectic and eccentric video gamer who does his best to make a point, share experiences, and talk to people without swallowing his own tongue. I'm mostly into Platformers and RPG's, but I'll try pretty much anything once, and I'm also trying to find something different and interesting to play, and then share with as many people as I can. I can also beat the entire first world in Super Meat Boy while wearing oven mitts.
