Bee the Swarm is a mobile game developer with a social conscience. They develop mobile gaming apps that raise funds for charity through generating money from ads and in-app purchases. They give 100% (yes 100%!) of the revenue to charities and causes all over the world.

The games currently available are ZomBees – Bee The Swarm and 2048 – Bee The Swarm, both released this year. So far they have helped fund backpacks of supplies for the homeless, have contributed to sending a child to school in Africa, supported after-school arts programs for children in the United States, and have even donated funds to help print a 3D prosthetic limb for a child. But they have turned to Kickstarter to get some help to take Bee the Swarm to the next level.

The Bee the Swarm Kickstarter campaign aims to raise enough money to be able to create a social network, similar to GoFundMe, where players get to decide where 100% of that money goes. CEO and Founder of Bee the Swarm, Robert Slaughter, says:

“Millions of people having the ability to pick up their smartphones and being able to do good things for the world. Imagine taking the few minutes while you are standing in line at the grocery store, playing a video game, and being able to help a family recover from a natural disaster.”

The Kickstarter campaign is hoping to raise $25,000 to help fund the Bee the Swarm social network. Some of the perks of the campaign include Bee The Swarm T-shirts, the ability to get early releases of Bee The Swarm games, and the opportunity to have input in creating a game for the network. They are planning on releasing of six new video games over the next two years, so that is a lot of scope for backers to get involved.

Zombees and 2048 are currently available for free on Google Play and Apple App store.
