Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is adding sand to the hourglass. Ubisoft recently announced on Twitter that the full-scale remake won’t release until sometime in 2022, though the developer and publisher did not provide a more specific window outside of that.
Ubisoft also confirmed, perhaps unsurprisingly, that the game would not appear at its upcoming Ubisoft Forward presentation, which is set to air during E3 2021 on Saturday, June 12 at 3 p.m. EST.
Hello, Prince of Persia fans!
Ubisoft Forward is around the corner and we wanted to use this time to thank you for the amount of support you have shown us in the past year.
As you might have already read, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in the Ubisoft Forward. We are making great progress for our game to release next year, but we are not ready to share any additional information just yet. We will share an update as soon as we are ready.
Until then, we wanted to express our appreciation for your continuous support, as well as your patience with us on our journey. We’re looking forward to the moment when we will be able to share more with you!

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was revealed back in September 2020. At the time, the game was scheduled to release in on January 21, 2021. In December 2020, Ubisoft delayed the game to March 18, 2021, to give the team more time to work on the remake. In February, Ubisoft delayed The Sands of Time Remake yet again.
