The original Ragnarok Online holds a place in the hearts of many MMORPG fans. Ragnarok Online 2‘s first English iteration is launching in South East Asia, and the game’s open beta is on the way.
The game is being developed by Gravity, much like the original, and is being published in SEA by Asiasoft Online.
Ragnarok Online 2 brings the class and card systems from the first game to a new 3D engine. While it looks great, I can’t help but wonder if RO2 will be as fun and relaxing as the original. The overhead view, atmosphere, community, and simple gameplay are what made RO unique and fun to play with friends.
RO2 looks to be a more modern MMO than its predecessor (Captain Obvious here), but I question whether or not it will be able to stand out from the pack. I do hope so, and I will be participating in the Open Beta starting on December 27th.
Check out Ragnarok Online 2 SEA’s official website. There are plenty of Porings there, I promise.
