Rocket League getting physical release

Rocket League gets a disk release. I'd buy it.

For those of you who still haven’t jumped on the Rocket League bandwagon, Psyonix’s vice president Jeremy Dunham announced yet another way to get your hands on the game. In an interview with Kinda Funny Games, Dunham announced that they would be releasing a physical disk sometime in the future.

While no release date was given, he did say we can look forward to hearing more about the release soon, and what will be included in the disk. It is probably safe to assume that a majority of the DLC released up to this point will be included.

Dunham also went into the numbers of the game, saying Rocket League has sold nearly 4 million copies and made over $70 million in revenue.

Rocket League has become quite the global phenomenon, so it should really come as no surprise that they are looking for new ways to sell their game. What is the most interesting to me is what will actually be included on the disk. Will customers get all of the DLC? Some of it? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Hi! My name is Nick, and I am yet another kid trying to break into the world of gaming journalism. I am currently attending grad school and pursuing my Master's in Journalism. Want to know my favorite game? It's Mass Effect, but not the third one; we don't talk about that one. I am also an avid fan of any and all board games, and you should totally try Risk Legacy; it's like regular Risk but better.
