Rocket League will be adding a new playlist that will be comprised of new maps only. The playlist will be included in the February update for the game. According to Psyonix, the maps will be virtual reality-inspired, and you can take a look at some of the new maps in the video above.

The first of the three new levels is called Utopia Retro, and it is a circular map inspired by the original Rocket League game named Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars. The second map is called Underpass, and it includes sides of the map elevated from the center strip, which allows for more aerial action. The final map, named Double Goal, is a map that includes two goal openings for each goal on each end. The plan is for Psyonix to release maps as they’re created but no release dates have been given for any new maps beyond these first three.

The Rocket Labs playlist will not be available in competitive playlists right off the bat. Fortunately for players, the February update does bring the Wasteland map to competitive playlists. The update will also bring the puck ball type, snow day mutator preset and the Winter Stadium map to exhibition and private matches.

Rocket League is available now on PS4 and PC. It will soon be available to Xbox One at some point this month. Be on the lookout for the February update.
