Unless you hate the Nintendo Switch for some reason, you might very well be able to get your hands on the Metroid Prime Trilogy in the near future. That’s right, the series is rumored to be headed to Nintendo’s current console.
The news was originally posted as a rumor on My Nintendo News yesterday after a listing for a Nintendo Switch version of the Metroid Prime Trilogy was discovered on the website belonging to Swedish retailer Inet.
According to an update on the original post, the product was even just a rumor for the retailer, but they felt confident enough that it will be announced at The Game Awards on December 6 to go ahead and list it.
Today, My Nintendo News reported that Liam Robertson, a writer for several sites including Nintendo Life, effectively confirmed a Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Switch on his Twitter account. Robertson, who is considered a reliable source on such matters, noted that the listing isn’t necessarily legitimate.
That retail listing is based on hearsay but Metroid Prime Trilogy on Switch is a real thing.

The Game Awards will air on Thursday, December 6, at 8:30 p.m. EDT. Those interested can watch it live, so we’ll find out for certain then whether or not the rumor is true.
