2020’s looking to be a big year for Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog. The mascot’s first feature film has taken the crown for having the most successful video game movie release weekend of all time, and Sega has something up their sleeve for fans of the game series.
On February 20, Sega will be hosting the very first Sonic Station Live!, which is meant to take place each month and discuss all things Sonic, from merchandise to games.
It appears Sonic Station Live! will be broadcast exclusively in Japanese, which is a bit of a surprise considering the difference in popularity between Japan and the West when it comes to Sega’s blue mascot. If you look at the Sega Shop, you might be surprised how much merchandise there actually is for the Blue Blur in the West.
Regardless, the Sonic Station Live! will be premiering at 6 p.m. JST on February 20, which equates to 4 a.m. EST. So while it’s unlikely you’ll be checking it out live, keep an eye out for any news coming with this and every other month’s presentation. It’s sure to be interesting if nothing else.
