Sony mistakenly offered the wrong game along with this month’s free PlayStation Plus titles.
The titles that were to be included in this’s month bundle were as follows:
- Dragon Age: Origins
- Grim Fandango Remastered
- Hardware: Rivals
- Legends of War: Patton’s Campaign
- Medal of Honor Warfighter
- Nihilumbra
However, the PSP game Legends of War: Patton’s Campaign was actually not meant to be listed. Instead got confused with another similarly-named title that was meant to be included with this month’s offerings. The intended title was meant to be History: Legends of War for the PS Vita.
It’s understandable for a mistake like this to happen, especially when the titles are this close in name. The two titles also share game-play mechanics, as both play from a top down perspective. From a distance, they could easily be confused for one another.
This snafu is further complicated by the fact that the two games involved also have slightly different titles in North American and European regions.
As of today, the mistake has been remedied, so if History: Legends of War, or any of PS Plus’ other free offerings look enticing you should take a look.
