Man, you know what song I love? Space Oddity. Too bad that music video was never shot in sp-oh wait. Commander Chris Hadfield, a Canadian astronaut, filmed a music video for his cover of David Bowie’s beloved song in space.
Chris Hadfield does a great job covering the song. It sounds great. This is totally overshadowed by the fact that he’s in space, however.
Throughout the Space Oddity video, Chris Hadfield is going around the International Space Station. The different locations that are used give the viewer a sense of what the inside of the satellite is like.
What is most amazing is not the inside of the satellite itself, but the scenes where you get to see the Earth either from a window inside the satellite or from outside the satellite completely.
Chris Hadfield’s cover of Space Oddity was released just two days ago, but it’s already got short of seven million views. If you have not watched the video yet, do it. It’s out of this world. Space jokes.
