Congratulations on meeting all stretch goals, Chucklefish!
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

I’m a day late here, but I just want to say congratulations to Chucklefish for Starbound having met all of its pre-order stretch goals as of yesterday! The studio has collected over $1,000,000 in pre-orders so far, securing the addition of starter pets and bright future for the upcoming sandbox title.

My excitement for the game is basically overflowing at this point. Universe exploration, forging my own adventure, and that constant thirst to see everything there is to see — Starbound stands as my most anticipated game of the past two years, and hopefully the final product will be worth that excitement.

If you feel you may be a little behind on the information that’s been revealed so far, be sure to check out my compilation of information from Chucklefish’s Reddit AMA from a few weeks ago. The official forums are, of course, filled to the brim with information if you care to dig; and the Roadmap has lots of information and images of the game in development.

We may still have a while to wait until we see Starbound in a playable state, and as we all know waiting is the hardest part.
