The game will build upon the gameplay of the original Stronghold Crusader, with all new visuals, units, AI characters, and a brand new battle interface. There will also be a slew of new maps, traps, and castle designs never before seen in a Stronghold game for players to tinker with.

“We can’t wait to show people what we’ve been working on and will do just that with our E3 reveal. I’m happy to announce that we will also be launching the full Crusader 2 website on June 11th, which will feature the game’s first trailer, artwork and more,” said Marketing Manager at Firefly Studios, Nick Tannahill.

Stronghold Crusader 2 is currently set to launch later this year in Q4, 2013 and will be self-published by Firefly Studios. The studio plans to achieve their funding via Gambitious and feature a closed beta for backers-only and additional game content for them.
