We’ve been waiting for snow to come to Los Santos all month, and finally, today’s the day we trade the green scenery for a whole lot of white. The GTA 5 snow update is finally live, bringing with it some seasonal goodies to find across GTA Online.
The recent Grand Theft Auto 5 Chop Shop update brought the salvage yard with it, along with a new Drifting tune option, new cosmetics, and ambient wildlife. We’ve seen some leaks about the winter event content over the past few days, though, and we’ll have to see as of today just how much of it was true.
What is in the GTA 5 Online Snow Event?
A seasonal Adversary Mode variant where we’ll have to help Santa fight off Krampus is one such leak. Last year’s Gooch should also be back, this time reportedly with a full outfit to steal off him instead of just its mask. We’ve also got to hunt down the Happy Holidays Hauler for free money, snacks, and ammo, as well as a chance at getting an Ugly Sprunk Festive Sweater or Ugly eCola Festive Sweater.
This isn’t all, though. There’s plenty for us to look for over the course of the holiday event, which is reportedly meant to last until just after the turn into 2024. As expected there are plenty of snowmen to find, as well.
This has been an exciting year for Grand Theft Auto fans between the updates to GTA 5 and the release of the first official trailer for GTA 6. We’ve endured rumor waves, updates that took cars away and gave them back, exclusive content for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions — we deserve some snow and festive cheer in Los Santos.
We’ve got guides coming on the GTA 5 Christmas event. But for now, check out our GTA 5 Online guides here on GameSkinny and get logged on so you can start looking for the Gooch and run up and down the highway looking for the Happy Holidays Hauler.
