Forever Entertainment has officially revealed that they are working with SEGA to develop and release The House of the Dead remake and The House of the Dead 2 remake. Platforms and release dates for the remakes have not yet been confirmed.
Rumors of these remakes being in development have appeared in the last few weeks. Polish website Graczpospolita was the first to report on them, although there was no official confirmation at the time.
In the original story, Graczpospolita claimed that the remakes would be developed by MegaPixel Studio, contain updated graphics, and that a look at the first game would be revealed sometime in the near future. However, none of this information has been officially confirmed either.
Forever Entertainment and MegaPixel Studio are currently developing two other SEGA remakes as well, with Panzer Dragoon: Remake and Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake. Only the first has been confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch so far.
With that knowledge, there’s a possibility MegaPixel is developing The House of the Dead remakes as well.
The last The House of the Dead game to be released was House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn, which released in arcades in Japan in September 2018 and exclusively at Dave & Buster’s Locations in the U.S. in October 2018.
Stay tuned for more news on The House of the Dead remake and The House of the Dead 2 remake as it develops.
