The North American 2016 Road to Blizzcon is here, with the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship is starting soon. In North America, arena teams will begin in few weeks.
Blizzard announced that they are partnering with Major League Gaming to produce the North American Road to BlizzCon. There will be three qualifier cups with a $6000 prize pool each. Cup 1 will begin June 18, Cup 2 on July 2, and Cup 3 on July 16. If you would like to sign up for one, you can do so now at the MLG website.
Six teams, two from each qualifier, will be moving on the to the Americas Regionals. The Americas Regionals teams will battle against one team from Latin America, and one from Australia and New Zealand.
The event will be hosted in Columbus, Ohio on October 8th and 9th. Players will be competing for a prize of $100,000 and spot in the Arena World Championship finals at BlizzCon 2016.
The rules have been updated so that teams who qualify for a Regional will not be eligible to participate in additional qualifiers. This has been changed because of the community feedback that they have received. For an official list of the rules, see here.
