The infant update has released for The Sims 4, but not everyone can get their hands on the long-awaited patch just yet. Many players are running into the game not loading, being unable to access much of the EA App, and are even having trouble getting the patch downloaded as the Electronic Arts servers presumably struggle under the strain.
They’ve been nine years coming, but finally infants are coming to The Sims 4 to give an even more comprehensive Sim experience. The infant life stage is one of the playerbase’s most requested features since its release in 2014, as infants were a stage of life in previous entries to the series.
You can tell the infant update has been a long time coming, considering the current state of EA’s update and game servers just as the patch released on the EA App and Steam for PC. This isn’t the only big piece of news for The Sims 4 this week, though, with the Growing Together expansion pack releasing across all relevant platforms in just two days to further augment the family experience with new social options, life events, furniture and items, and features.
The Sims 4 not working won’t last for long and there is no fix, so sit tight and wait for it to be over. Maybe wander off for a while and try to take your mind off it, the infant update will be in your hands soon enough. Once it is, check out our growing list of guides for The Sims 4.
