Toys R Us listed on their website Friday that they will sell the Pokemon, Lucario, for a retail price of $13.99. They indicated that it was an exclusive and customers interested could preorder it for an expected release date of February 1st, 2015. Two other retailers have exclusive amiibos: Best Buy will sell Meta Knight and GameStop will sell Shulk.

Amiibo compatibility on Wii U is currently limited to use on certain titles. Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS use amiibos as computer-controlled characters to fight alongside other characters. Mario Kart 8 uses them as alternate costumes for Mii characters.

The first wave of amiibo figurines launched on Friday. Characters available to pick up include: Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus Aran, Wii Fit trainer, Animal Crossing villager, Pikachu, Kirby, and Marth.

Will you be picking up any of the amiibo figurines, and do you have interest in purchasing Lucario next year?
