With the release of the new Dragon Age: Inquisition trailer last week, fans of the franchise have had Dragon Age on their minds.
However, since the trailer doesn’t seem to give fans any new substantial information, people have instead been reminiscing on previous games. Enter #DragonAgeClassics. On Bioware forums and Twitter, people have been using #DragonAgeClassics to tag classic books, movies and songs, with a Dragon Age twist.
Here’s a few of my favorites.
“Much Ado about Nugging” #DragonAgeClassics
— Rob Simmons (@robtachi) March 10, 2014
Reason I love it: In the world of Dragon Age the words nug and nothing are fairly synonymous, however I would love to see this Shakespearian classic with nugs added in.
“Alistair’s Adventures in Wildervale” (or “Through the Eluvian”) #DragonAgeClassics
— Rob Simmons (@robtachi) March 10, 2014
Reason I love it: This one took me a little more deciphering than some, and then I immediately tried to picture Alistair in this outfit.
Just imagine the sorts of companions and creatures Alistair could run in to! Morrigan definitely gets to play the part of the Red Queen.
“The Wonderful Wizard of Orzammar” #DragonAgeClassics
— Aidan Scanlan (@aidanscanlan) March 10, 2014
Reason I Love It: I’m imagining Sten as the Tin Man, Ohgren as the Cowardly Lion, and Alistair as the Scarecrow, while my character and her mabari take on the role of Dorothy. Someone with artistic ability *really* needs to make me a picture of this. I would accept someone just putting Dragon Age faces on this image:
@aidanscanlan O Brother Genitivi, Where Art Thou? #DragonAgeClassics
— Rogue Roxy (@RoxyFerret) March 10, 2014
Reason I love it: I’m a terrible person reveling in Brother Geniviti’s misfortune, also I really like the original movie, O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Singin’ in the Fade #DragonAgeClassics
— Tasmen (@tasmen) March 10, 2014
Reason I love it: Not gonna lie, Singin’ In The Rain gets on my nerves. Considering I have never ever seen anything good in my various trips to the Fade, I think the change of venue for the musical might make it deliciously demented. Something I might actually watch.
Diamond Districts Are Forever #DragonAgeClassics
— Witch of the Wilds (@Wild_Morrigan) March 10, 2014
Reason I love it: The dwarfs of Orzamar are vicious, enamored with status, wealth, and politics. Enter dwarf Sean Connery as he attempts to bust a lyrium AND diamond smuggling ring, What can go wrong with this?
