It seems that those with larger phones, like the iPhone 6+, are out of luck as these are too big to fit inside the casing of the device.

In a blog post, Bethesda explained that the Pip-Boy will come with customizable foam inserts that allow it to be used with a range of standard size smartphones.

Specific phones listed as compatible include; iPhone 6, iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 4/4S, Samsung Galaxy 5, and Samsung Galaxy 4.

However, anything larger than those cannot be used, according to the publisher, who wanted to create the Pip-Boy to the same scale as its in-game counterpart.

“As we wanted to stay faithful to the dimensions of the in-game model, any smartphones larger than the models listed will not fit inside the wearable device. For these larger devices, our Pip-Boy companion app will still be available.”

Due to huge demand the Pip-Boy Edition is currently sold out in North America. Bethesda previously confirmed that it won’t be producing more, so anyone lucky enough to have secured a copy had better hold on tight to that pre-order!

Fallout 4 launches on November 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
