Watch Dogs 2 is in Development According to Ubisoft Employee’s Resume

It's pretty much confirmed, Watch Dogs 2 is on its way!
This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

A little while back, we were telling you that rumors were suggesting Watch Dogs 2 could show up during E3 2015. Although it is not all that surprising, the sequel has been somewhat confirmed… through a LinkedIn profile

From Ubisoft’s Paris studio, Julien Risse, Senior Gameplay Programmer for Watch Dogs and the DLC Bad Blood, showed on his online resume that he was working on Watch Dogs 2. Ever since the reveal of this information on several websites, however, the title has been removed from the profile. But not before Videogamer had the chance to take a screenshot, spreading the proof all over gaming media.

Surprised, or not surprised?

So many rumors have been spread about a sequel to Watch Dogs that the news was not as surprising as it could have been to some. However, this is the first time Watch Dogs 2 has actually been referenced by name, on paper (or on screen, in this case), and it might mean that the game will be talked about during E3 2015.

Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft CEO, had suggested last year that a sequel to Watch Dogs would go into development. And creative director Jonathan Morin had let fans know that he knew Watch Dogs had “a lot of room for improvement”, and that in the case of a sequel, it would need to “appeal to fans in a new way”.

At least they’re learning from their mistakes!
