Due to some financial incidents throughout Nintendo, the CEO, Satoru Iwata announced that the Wii U will support some Nintendo DS games through the Virtual Console Service.
What financial problems?
With this recent look, Nintendo announced that they lost $15 million throughout a 9-month period lasting until this past December 31st, 2013. This loss is due to overestimated the amount of Wii U and 3DS consoles that would be sold. As a result, many people including the CEO Satoru Iwata will be taking a pay cut. Many games haven’t been announced for the Wii U Virtual Console Service, but one that we should expect is Brain Age. During this conversion, it’s best to keep mindful to the fact that the games must play well on the Wii U’s gamepad, which could be considered a difficult task. At the current time, there isn’t a release date to when the DS games will be available on the Wii U Virtual Console Service, but we can expect more news within the upcoming months.
