At least, as long as the publisher of the game allows it. We have to imagine if a publisher greenlights an Xbox 360 game to be emulated on Xbox One, they would have no quarrels with DLC being included.

This bit of news was confirmed by the Xbox Support Twitter account.

This comes off the heels of Xbox announcing backwards compatibility between Xbox One and Xbox 360 at E3, meaning 360 discs and digitally downloaded games are all potentially playable on Xbox One.

Xbox will still need to get permission from publishers to emulate their games, but for now Xbox has created a system where players vote for which games they want to see the most.

Right now Red Dead Redemption is leading the charge in votes, with Call of Duty: Black Ops II in second place. What games do you most want to see emulated on Xbox One?

Let your gaming preferences be heard in the comments, and in the vote.
