Microsoft announced that the Xbox Holiday Update is rolling out today for Xbox One and the Xbox app. The update includes several improvements and additional features, such as:

Recommended Videos
  • Clubs on Xbox Live
  • Looking for Group on Xbox Live
  • Achievement Rarity
  • Group Messaging on Xbox Live
  • Gamerscore Leaderboard
  • And Emojis for the Xbox One virtual keyboard

All of these elements are aimed to improve the social ecosystem of the platform, with new ways of communicating, sharing, and checking information.

Players have demanded some of these features for a long time — like the achievement rarity, which will let them know the percentage of Xbox owners that achieved a specific trophy.

Mike Ybarra, Partner Director of Program Managament of Xbox and Windows Platform, stated earlier today that we will be able to install the update after 8 AM PT.
