The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess could be making the leap to Wii U. It’s all speculation at the moment, but there’s been a very important icon spotted on the Wii U eShop. Thanks to Nintendo gamers zhuowei and NWPlayer123 who reported the news.
The icon found is the artwork below, anyone who’s any sort of Zelda fan will recognise it immediately from the 2006 Gamecube/Wii gem.
Could this be a hint of what’s to come? Perhaps a Zelda HD remake? It could just be that it’s making its way onto the eShop as a straight port or it could end up to be a lot of nothing. Wind Waker has already had the HD treatment for Wii U, reportedly only taking six months to complete. A later game in the series shouldn’t be too difficult, either.
Personally, Twilight Princess is one of my favorite games from the series and it tells quite a dark tale – not as dark as Majora’s Mask, but it’s up there. You are burdened with the task of restoring light to Hyrule, the twilight realm has been overshadowed by the insane Zant. Fan-favorite Midna is the cheeky little companion on this journey.
It’s a great Zelda title and for the younger fans of the series that may not have played it, an HD remake would be in perfect order! For now we will just have to sit tight and see if anything comes of the rumor.
